The KMC e-bike chainring for Shimano Steps EP systems is purpose-built for direct mount installation, eliminating the need for a separate spider and creating a cleaner, more integrated connection to the motor unit.
Constructed from quality steel to withstand the additional torque and load that comes with motor assistance, it features the same narrow-wide tooth profile found across KMC's range, with alternating tooth widths providing secure chain retention even under sustained power delivery. The steel construction and precise tooth engagement work together to deliver maximum drivetrain efficiency, helping preserve battery life by minimising unnecessary friction.
Perfectly matched to KMC chains, with the e1EPT chain specifically recommended for optimal performance, it covers e1, e8, e9, e10, e11 and e12 speed configurations, though it is not compatible with 12 or 13-speed flattop chains. A dependable, purpose-built choice for Shimano Steps EP riders who want a drivetrain that performs as reliably as the motor driving it.
