crankbrothers Synthesis DH rear wheel with Industry Nine 1/1 hub 157x12mm.
Introducing Synthesis Alloy 2.0 - keeping the front and rear specific tuned wheel traits but now with new materials, new finishings, and new layups, all working towards a stronger wheel that you can rely on, lap after lap, and now with a lifetime warranty.
6069 ALLOY
With Synthesis Alloy 2.0, crankbrothers have made the switch from Alloy 6013 to Alloy 6069. This change delivers significantly better strength and durability, with major gains in ultimate tensile, yield tensile, fatigue, and shear strength, ensuring long-term performance.
SHOT PEENED FINISH
crankbrothers transitioned from a brushed to a shot-peened finish for enhanced durability and a refined look. As a performance benefit, the rim has an increased fatigue life, improved resistance to cracking and enhanced wear resistance.
RIM PROFILE
Synthesis Alloy 2.0 features a re-engineered rim profile for greater durability and impact resistance. With refined sidewall geometry, strategic material placement in the rim bed and sidewalls, and different front and rear internal widths, every detail is designed to deliver performance.
To respect the fundamentals of the Synthesis Range, the front wheel is tuned to offer compliance and traction, while the rear is built with added stiffness and strength. The result: a more durable wheelset that reduces pinch flats and that you can rely on, lap after lap.
LIFETIME WARRANTY
With the added strength of the new Synthesis Alloy 2.0 wheels, crankbrothers are confident in offering a lifetime warranty to original owners. If a rider cracks or dents our Synthesis 2.0 rim to the point where it will not hold air, they're backed by this lifetime warranty.
