Long Live Aero
It’s hard to beat the sensation of power that comes from a great aero bike. What rider is ambivalent about a machine that is designed to give back free watts? Is there a competitor who doesn’t grasp every last advantage in the battle for speed?

Highlights
Orca Aero is built for pure speed and efficiency, with aerodynamic shaping, exceptional power transfer, and razor-sharp handling. Its race-focused geometry puts you in the perfect position to push harder, ride faster, and hold nothing back.
Power and Precision
A frame that’s stiff in the right places transfers more of your power to the rear wheel and delivers precise, responsive handling when it matters most.
Dynamic Race Handling
Race-focussed geometry and ergonomics put you in the perfect place to perform at any speed.
Advanced Aerodynamics
Aligning the frame with the airflow, optimizing cross-sections, smoothing transitions and myriad other improvements mean a big reduction in drag.
Free Speed
Myriad improvements that all combine to reduce drag by **15W at 40kmph** or **28W at 50kmph**. Horizontal top tube and chainstays improve airflow. Down tube and seat tube profile has been aerodynamically optimised for 25-28mm tires. Single profile transitions between head tube and downtube and the seat tube and seat stays reduce turbulence in these areas. Drag around the rear wheel has been reduced by aligning the upper seat tube junction with the airflow. New aerodynamically designed fork is optimised for high profile wheels. The perfect complement to Orca Aero, whether you prioritise lightness, aerodynamics, or the ideal balance of both.
Modern Aero Solutions
Modern Aero bikes require modern solutions that not only make the bike look better but also make the bike faster. The age-old question of where to carry essential tools, tubes and identification is answered by the integrated **Toolbox** behind the front wheel. Like the bottle cage, the Toolbox is not only useful but aerodynamically beneficial. Airflow around the downtube rolls seamlessly past the bottle and cage, and nothing impedes the beautiful look of the frame. If you need more carrying capacity, there are standard bottle mounts on the down tube and seat tube.
How We Test Aerodynamics
Modern Aero bikes require modern solutions that not only make the bike look better but also make the bike faster. **High speed efficiency test**: In this test, we ask riders to maintain a series of fixed speeds and measure their power output. We use an indoor velodrome for this so that we have repeatable conditions and keep everything constant between runs so that the only change is the aerodynamics. This makes it possible to calculate the real-world impact of aerodynamic drag, in Watts, for any given speed. **How We Test Power Transmission - The Low Speed Efficiency Test**: In this test, we ask riders to maintain a fixed speed on a steep climb while measuring their power output. The higher the power output for any given speed, the worse the climbing efficiency. By only changing the frame and keeping all the other variables constant, we can determine how efficient the power transfer is for each frame.
Power and Precision
There’s no doubt about it—a frame that’s stiff in the right places transfers more of your watts to the rear wheel. Your power, converted to speed. That same stiffness also delivers razor-sharp handling, giving you precise control when it matters most—whether you're cornering at speed or holding your line in a sprint.
Improved Power Transmission
The key to power transmission. There is no doubt about it, a frame that is stiff in the right places transfers more of your watts to the rear wheel. Your power converted to speed. Precision Handling: Stiffness is needed to transform pedal force into forward motion, but it's also key to handling, providing the direct, confident response you need to carve through corners or stay steady in the sprint.
Advanced Frame Construction
Orbea monocoque carbon. We use the most technologically advanced carbon construction available to make the most sophisticated frame possible – A complex and painstaking process with results you will appreciate in the saddle. **Omx carbon is the pinnacle of carbon fiber bicycle manufacturing**. When the constant hunt for improvement in our carbon manufacturing yields results that barely resemble those from a few short years ago, it’s time to change the way we talk about carbon. With the introduction of OMX we are showing riders everywhere the direction of our lightest and stiffest performance racing frames.
Dynamic Race Handling
Great handling comes from a great geometry and ergonomics.
Balanced Handling
One of the most important points to consider when determining geometry is that the bike must be easy to ride. Going fast isn’t just a by product of good aerodynamics, it requires precise control over the bike. Shorter wheelbase is more responsive. Shorter chainstays for better acceleration. Size-specific fork trail gives improved control no matter what frame size. Lower stack and bigger bb drop give better aerodynamics and stability.
Adaptive Ergonomics
Better Ergonomics improves rider comfort, aerodynamics and control. Which means more speed! **OC SH-RA10 Integrated Cockpit - 313 g**: An exceptionally light and aerodynamic integrated cockpit, with fully internal routing, ergonomic tops, and sprint-ready stiffness — all engineered for speed. **Orca Aero OMX seatpost**: Our new aero seat post allows up to 25mm adjustment on setback and +/- 10º tilt. The **50mm depth** seat post, is lightweight and compact. **ICR road stem**: Our sprinter-proof road stem, is available in **7 lengths from 70 to 130mm** and ensures a perfect fit and cable integration. **Road handlebar**: We have developed one of the fastest, most ergonomic aero handlebars. Available in **4 sizes from 360mm to 420mm**, our new 5º flared aero bars and stem give up to 15 degrees of rotation plus a choice of width and reach.
