stans-wheel-crest
Stans Wheel Crest

Upgrading to a set of quality tubeless wheels is the number one way to improve the ride of your XC or Gravel bike. Tubeless offers more comfort and control with less rolling resistance, and when it comes to tubeless, nothing beats the easy inflation and performance of Stans patented Bead Socket Technology. First introduced over 15 years ago, the original Crest rim design with BST helped launch the tubeless revolution. Today's Crest S2 wheels offer quick and easy inflation, the legendary airtight seal, and a 25mm width that offers incredible stability for 40mm to 2.3" Gravel and XC tyres.

Constructed of 6061 aluminium with a reinforced spoke bed and eyeletted spoke holes for strength, the Crest S2 rim is built to last. The wheelset also features fast-engaging E-sync hubs built to handle the added weight and forces of eBikes and more aggressive riders. Thanks to cromoly axles, heat treated steel ratchet rings, double row Enduro bearings, and a pawl design that reduces stress on bearings, E-sync hubs are made to roll smoother longer. The E-sync's four pawls also provide quick 8.18 of engagement. S2 wheelsets with E-sync hubs are perfect for anyone looking for low maintenance and high performance. Like all Stans wheels, the Crest S2 carries on a tradition of serviceability by using traditional J-bend spokes that are readily available. To make life even easier, matched Crest S2 wheelsets all use a single spoke length and their endcaps are readily available and compatible with previous Neo hubs.

The Crest S2 is an ideal replacement or upgrade for Gravel and XC bikes. Available with Shimano Micro Spline, HG, or SRAM XDR freehub, and 6-bolt or Centerlock brake style, with options to fit all popular axle configurations. Tubeless ready with rim tape installed. Whether rolling through your local trails, entering your first XC race, or setting out on a bikepacking gravel adventure, the Crest S2 wheelset can improve your ride.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:
Tubeless tape installed, requires additional valve stems.

25mm rim width optimised for Gravel and XC tyres up to 2.3in
Patented BST low-profile rim shape for easy tubeless inflation and the most reliable seal
6061 aluminium with sleeved joint and stainless steel rim eyelets
Matched wheelsets use traditional J-bend lacing and share a single spoke length for easy serviceability
E-sync hubs offer fast 8.18 engagement with reinforced pawls
Enduro bearings with double-row freehub bearing and cromoly axle offer 47% increase in max torque capacity over Neo hubs
Connection program includes 3-year E-sync hub warranty, 3-year S2 rim warranty, 1-year crash replacement

Specification

Rim Internal Rim Rim External Rim Depth: 18.0mm
Spokes: Sapim Race 2.0/1.8/2.0
Nipples: Sapim Polyax Secure Lock 2.0 Brass Silver
ERD: 603mm
Hub: E-sync
ETRTO: 622x25.0
Hole Count: 32-hole, 32-hole
ISO: 29inx28.4mm
Rim Material: 6069 Alloy
Tape: 27mm
Hub Colour: Black
Max Spoke Tension: 130kgf (1275N)
Rim Colour: Black
Max Rider Brakes: Disc
Max Pressure with 40c Tyre: 55psi
Max Pressure with 2.00in Tyre: 46psi
Max Pressure with 2.30in Tyre: 39psi
Valve: Presta

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0669/2539/6148/files/Stans-NoTubes---WHEEL-FRONT-CREST-S2-29-6B-15X110-GR_1000x1000_618eb781-5c76-46b1-af4a-7f82a1541512.jpg?v=1791799787
